    Mr. Peter Julian (Burnaby—New Westminster, NDP): Mr. Speaker, I rise today on behalf of my New Democratic Party colleagues, and as an avid basketball player and fan in support of Brittney Griner and Jason Collins.

    Collins, a veteran NBA player, and Griner, the first NCAA player to score more than 2,000 points and block 500 shots, and the number one pick in the Women's National Basketball Association draft, have courageously come out.

Statement from the Official Opposition Natural Resources critic Peter Julian on World Water Day

Today Canadians join people around the world in observing World Water Day. Since 1993 the UN has encouraged member states to dedicate March 22 to focus on the importance of freshwater and to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

    Senator Pamela Wallin is now under investigation for her expenses. She is alleged to have spent hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on flights to Toronto.
